Tucked in between the Taunus Mountains and the river Rhine, Wiesbaden is best known for its hot thermal springs, and its picturesque historic buildings. Wiesbaden is also known for its many street festivals, including the Weinwoche, the Wilhemstraßenfest, the Maifestspiele, the Christmas market, and many other celebrations.
Wiesbaden lies in the middle of the busy Rhein-Main metropolitan area, which offers a large variety of restaurants, cinemas, dance clubs and outdoor activities. You will find many opportunities to spend your free time in Wiesbaden, or in its neighboring cities Mainz and Frankfurt.
